For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, Love Is Like The Wind, You Can't See It But You Can Feel It.

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! Go and see all the fun                                                                            treasures there!

I stenciled Prima Platinum Texture Paste with a small spatula onto watercolor paper. I taped on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat, and  made a mat too. I added  layers of corrugated cardboard. The layer below the mat that's visible I ripped off  some of the paper, poured
on UTEE on gesso, and heated it. I taped on flowers, glued on beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints. I rubbed on silver mica powder on different areas.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass beads, swarovski crystals, acrylic crystals, glass glitter, gold leaf, iridescent wrapping paper, sisal, chipboard, tulle, flowers, and bling and metal from my stash.  A lot of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. Many of the            textural items are from Reneabouquets.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Beautiful Bride - Joanne Bartell

Hello friends! Sharing my latest Shimmerz Paints layout using Jeni B. Blue, Precious Posey, and Color Splash Black Hole.

I did a lot of paper tearing on my layout which adds texture and interest. I used the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Life in Bloom collection, which the Shimmerz Paints colors I mentioned are perfect for!

I added florals, butterflies, tags, adhesive brads, tickets, stickers, gems, and ephemera to my layout, which all came together perfectly!

Please feel free to watch my process video on YouTube and leave me a comment. As always, if you leave my name in the comment box of your Shimmerz Paints order,  you will receive a FREE GIFT with your order. Have a fabulous day!

Love to Explore | Sarah Millerhouse | March Color Kitz +

I am excited to share this layout featuring the March Color Kitz + a few more Shimmerz colors I love! I had a great time creating this layout and painting all the colors on the background! For this layout, I was inspired by one of Missy Whidden's older layouts where she used somewhat similar circles on the background. I love how an idea you see can spark creativity and take on a life of its own!

For the background, I started by cutting different sizes of dotted circles out of the background paper using my Cricut. From there, I got busy adding lots of beautiful colors to the background. From the March Color Kitz, I used Shimmerz - Pink Caviar, and then I mixed the Shimmerz - Spruce It Up with the Inklingz - Dear John Letter to get a lighter green. I also used Shimmerz - Bumbly Bee & Celery and Creameez - Boogie Boardin' Blue to get the combination of colors I wanted. I let the colors blend and mix a little as I went, and I love the result! I then put a piece of black cardstock behind it to get the vivid black dots.

Once that dried, I used paper and embellishments from the Where to Next? collection to mat my photo with torn paper, fussy cut out flowers to adorn the page around the photo, and add some tags sticking out from behind it.

I used two different sets of Thickers for my title, and I love how the colors look with the Shimmerz Paints and patterned papers. I also added embroidery thread to the tags in contrasting colors to add another texture to the layout.

I finished the layout by adding Pops of Color in coordinating colors! I had fun with this layout and hope you find inspiration here!

Remember, if you place an order with Shimmerz Paints, be sure to put my name, Sarah Millerhouse, in the comment section to get a free gift!

Have a beautiful day!

Happy Easter Using the March Color Kitz Bundle

Hey all, Nicole here with my second project this month using the March Color Kitz Bundle!  I am documenting a fun Easter moment from 2020!

I started by making my background with three of the fabulous colors from the kit.  Those colors are: Arti-choked, Spurce It Up, and Dear John Letter.  I show exactly what I did to make this layout on my March unboxing video here: March Shimmerz Unboxing

After my background, I matted my photos with paper from the kit.  I then fussy cut a bunch of flowers from a paper in the kit as well, then glued them all over the green background.  I added all of my Dotz to this page as well as lots of ephemera.

I used the "HAPPY EASTER" ephemera as my title.  I then added simple journaling and my page was done.  I have a process video for this layout that you can enjoy here: Happy Easter Process Video

Thanks for hopping in to read all about my layout.  I hope it gets you in the crafty mood!
Until next time,
Nicole
